Kodachrome Basin is a small, popular state park situated a few miles east of Bryce Canyon. During your Kodachrome Park horseback ride you will see eroded, multicolored rock formations in various shades of red, yellow, pink, white and brown. The combination of colors of the rocks together with the deep blue sky and occasional green vegetation led the 1948 National Geographical Society to name the area, with the consent of the Kodak Film Corp. You will be inspired while horseback riding through Kodachrome and witness the many spires or 'chimneys' of rock, known as sand pipes.
Our Kodachrome Park trail rides depart on the Panorama Trail that leads through gorgeous red sandstone canyons and passes by the giant sand pipes. We have friendly guides, and great horses that will make your trip one to remember. We offer several rides with various durations and different experience levels. With over 60 years experience guiding trail rides, we know what it takes to have a fun and memorable experience.
